Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service received two 999 calls during the firefighters’ strike earlier today.
Fire crews took to picket lines between 6.30am to 8.30am as part of an ongoing dispute with the Government over pensions, which also led to strikes on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Richard Thake, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, said: "Despite fewer resources being available during the strike action all incidents were dealt with appropriately.
"We are extremely disappointed that further walkouts took place and we continue to hope for a speedy resolution to this ongoing dispute."
