Computer equipment was stolen from a mental health centre in Watford after a break-in at the weekend.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said up to 11 computers were taken when Colne House, in Upton Road, was burgled between 9.30pm on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday.

Officers said a fire exit on the fourth floor was forced open by intruders.

The centre was only opened this month by the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust to provide a base for mental health services in the area.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via its non-emergency 101 number citing the crime number C1/14/376.
