Pupils from a Rickmansworth school have been taught emergency life saving skills as part of a British Heart Foundation scheme.
The Royal Masonic School for Girls’ Cadogan House students took part in a series of lessons as part of the Heartstart schools programme.
The Rickmansworth Park school has received official accreditation as a Heartstart school and the lessons are delivered by Emma Royal, who is a member of the school’s medical team.
Ms Royal said: "Teaching the girls simple skills at this young age can really make a difference and can save lives."
The Year 2 pupils have now been taught how to assess a casualty, get help and learnt how to put an unconscious person into the recovery position.
