A controversial planning application for a gipsy caravan site on Bovingdon Green Belt land has been resubmitted.

The proposals are for change of use of the Green Belt site adjacent to the Bobsleigh Hotel to be used as a residential caravan site for eight gipsy families, each with up to two caravans.

It was withdrawn due to ownership issues and questions over the site’s boundaries but the application has been resubmitted.

The scheme has caused concern in the village and Bovingdon Action Group is encouraging residents to send their objections to the new application to Dacorum Borough Council.
