Watford Round Table has donated £5,000 to contribute towards an operation which will help a Croxley Green pupil walk.

Four-year-old Yorke Mead Primary School pupil, Noah Collins, has cerebral palsy and his family is trying to raise £80,000 to send him to America for a specialist operation.

So far, the Help Noah Walk campaign has raised more than £54,000.

The Watford Round Table’s contribution has meant that Noah’s dream to walk is that much closer.

Steve Forrester, vice-chairman of Watford Round Table, said: "It’s fantastic that we’ve been able to support Noah, and wish him the very best in raising the rest of the money.

"It’s through peoples continued support of the Watford 10k that Watford Round Table can continue to donate to local good causes."

Noah’s mother, Jeannette, said "We have been overwhelmed by the number of kind and generous people of the community who have come forwards to support the fundraising for Noah, and to help change his life in such an amazing way.

"We are very grateful to the Watford Round Table for joining in and supporting this fantastic cause and their very kind donation is going to directly help Noah to go for the life changing surgery. Thank You."
