Business will come together to play around and some serious fundraising for Peace Hospice Care at the 15th annual Watford & West Herts Chamber of Commerce charity golf day on Tuesday, May 13.

Attracting local company teams such as CBJ Digital, Myers Clark Accountants, Clydesdale Bank, NatWest Bank, and two teams from BNI the event is being held at Aldenham Golf Club. The golf club and Peace Hospice Care will also be entering teams.

The day will tee off with coffee and bacon rolls, a round of competitive golf will follow before concluding with a two-course meal and presentation of prizes.

The event is organised each year by chamber stalwart and former Bushey policeman Ken Moxley.

TopGolf Watford and Spire Automotive also support the event with prizes and sponsoring a car for a hole in one on the 12th tee.

The car this year is the Mini Hatch which will be launched just before the Golf Day. The car hole in one prize has been one at two previous golf days.

Last year the winning team was a new entry from a Company called IT Support Business and the individual player trophy went to Daniel Ginder who played for the Peace Hospice Care Team.  The day raised £5,000.

Rachel Fowler, Corporate Development Manager for Peace Hospice Care said: "This is a fabulous day each year and we are extremely grateful for the support shown by all the sponsors and supporters of the event."

Ian Welland, Chief Executive for Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce, added: "On behalf of the business community, the chamber is delighted to be supporting this excellent event, and we encourage our members and local businesses to book a team to play on the day."

There are still places for teams to register or you can support the event by sponsoring a hole or donating a raffle or auction prize.   Contact Lorraine Marshall at lorraine@watford-chamber.co.uk or 01923 442442 for details.
