An appeal has been launched against Three Rivers’ decision to reject an application to build an agricultural house in Sarratt.

Timothy Norris has lodged the appeal with the planning inspectorate after the district council refused the application to install the dwelling with office, detached garage, log store and septic tank at The Mulberry Bush, in Dawes Lane.

Three Rivers politicians rejected the application as: “The proposed agricultural worker’s dwelling and related facilities and structures would, by reason of their size, siting and appearance and cumulative extent of development on site, lead to a visually intrusive and prominent form of development in this attractive open landscape.”

The appeal will be decided on the basis of written statements and a site visit by an inspector.
