As part of the celebrations to mark Sir Hubert von Herkomer’s centenary a new exhibition will open this month in Bushey.
‘Drawn from the Herkomer School’ will open at Bushey Museum on April 26 and will feature drawings by Herkomer and pupils of the art school that he established in Bushey in 1883 and ran until 1904.
Except for some early drawings of the nude male figure, few of Herkomer’s drawings survive, but there are exceptions.
The exhibition will run until Sunday September 7.
