A cricketer has died after collapsing during a match in Kings Langley.

Paramedics were called to Kings Langley Cricket Club, off Vicarage Lane, at 6.30pm on Saturday, May 3, and treated David Percy at the scene.

Following the tragedy, Tony Burnell, chairman of Kings Langley Cricket Club, said: "He was an outstanding cricketer, a great friend and above all an amazing father and husband and will be greatly missed by all of us.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Tanya, Cassie, Ben and the rest of the family as well as with everyone that Dave touched in his own special way.

"Dave will be greatly missed by so many and remembered by all."
