Engineers have had to suspend water maintenance works in Rickmansworth ahead of this weekend’s parade.
Affinity Water has been working in Bury Lane to replace a water main. Work has had to be suspended ahead of the start of Ricky Week on Saturday.
Sue Pavey, Affinity Water spokesman, said: "We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused while we are replacing a water main in Bury Lane, Rickmansworth.
"By replacing targeted sections of our network we will be able to continue to provide a reliable water supply to the local community for many years to come."
Work is due to start again on Monday, May 12 and is expected to be completed within seven to 14 days.
