Runners will be taking to the streets for the Kings Langley Puffaten today.

The road race is set to begin at 10.30am at Kings Langley Primary School, Common Lane and will see runners tour the streets of the village.

Competitors will leave the village via Barnes Lane, before joining Rucklers Lane and connecting to Bulstrode Lane. Runners will then turn left onto Tower Hill and then head back towards Kings Langley by using Chipperfield Road.

Participants had the choice to enter a 10k, a 3k or a 1.5k race, but runners had to be at least 16 years old to take part in the 10k event.

All the profit raised from the event will be going to the Common Lane school.
The race has been organised by Comets Road Running Club and co-ordinated by Alan Johnson, governor at Kings Langley Primary School.

Paula Harris, headteacher at Kings Langley Primary School, told the Watford Observer that the event could be held again next year.

She said: "We are really excited about this event and if successful, plan to run it again next year.
