Police hunting two men after 92-year-old woman falls victim to distraction burglary

A 92-year-old woman was burgled after two men claiming to be gardeners tricked their way into her home on Saturday afternoon.

Hertfordshire Constabulary are looking for two men after the suspects took a handbag, purse and cash from a property along Summerhouse Way, Abbots Langley.

The distraction burglary happened at around 4pm.

Both men are described as white, aged 35 to 45 with dark hair. They were wearing sky blue shirts with a vertical stripe and navy trousers.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Sergeant Ben Wright on 101, citing crime reference C2/14/1463. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
