In the long run the computer installed at County Hall will save the county council money. At the present time, however, it is not fully occupied and arrangements have been made to take in some work of other bodies, County Alderman Claude Barker, chairman of finance, assured members of Hertfordshire County Council on Tuesday.

"I do hope this is not going to be just an expensive toy, and we do intend to develop it to the full, and it can be used throughout the county," stated county councillor W.G. Pyne.

"We are very satisfied with the computer," said county alderman Barker, "We know, in the long run, it will save the county council money."
