Residents fighting the development of a Bovingdon hotel will have to wait longer to discover the fate of the plans after the council delayed the decision date for a further two months.

Councillors from Dacorum Borough Council’s planning committee will now consider the proposals to knock down the 47-bed hotel and replace it with a new 100-plus bed venue on Thursday, September 25.

The venue is owned by Macdonald Hotels and 68 objections have been lodged against the proposals so far.

The issue was supposed to be resolved on Thursday, July 17.
