A Watford business has raised £200,000 for children and young people with cancer.

PartyLite, a home party business, has been raising funds for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent for 10 years.

Staff members have also held raffles and taken part in the charity’s events, Wig Wednesday and the Great Mums Get Together.

The business also sells a charity product each year which contributes to their fundraising total.

Chair of trustees at CLIC Sargent, Daphne Pullen OBE, was able to thank PartyLite personally for their achievements.

She said: "I’m delighted that PartyLite have supported us for the last 10 years, and that they have reached the truly impressive milestone of raising £200,000 for CLIC Sargent. This has made a real difference in helping us in our work to provide clinical, practical and emotional support to children and young people with cancer, and their families, to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life."

PartyLite Managing Director, Sandra Whittle, said: "I am proud that the Leaders and Consultants in PartyLite have reached their target in supporting such a worthwhile Charity, which I am sure touches everyone’s heart.

"At our recent Conference Gala Dinner the delegates secured this by raising a resounding £4,500, taking us well in excess of our target.

"We look forward to achieving our next goal."

PartyLite plans on continuing to fundraise for CLIC Sargent working towards the £250,000 mark and will be supporting the charity over September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
