Three central Watford roads which had to be closed by police this morning have reopened.

Officers cornered off Queens Road, Loates Lane and Gladstone Road while they were investigating a break-in at intu Watford shopping centre and car fires in the early hours of this morning.

Hertfordshire Constabulary was called to Gladstone Road at about 2.35am following reports of two car fires.

On arrival officers found another car alight.

Police were also alerted to a break-in at the intu shopping centre.

All three roads were closed this morning so investigations could be carried out.

They have now been reopened.
