Police are hunting five men in connection with an assault on a 23-year-old in Watford.

The victim had been walking along Colne Way from the Dome roundabout to the Meriden Estate when a group of males walked past him at around 2.30am on Sunday, September 28.

The last person to go past turned and punched the victim in an unprovoked attack.

The victim fell to the floor and suffered injuries to his face. The group have then carried on walking down the A41 towards the Meriden Estate.

The group were described as four to five white males aged in their late teens.

Hertfordshire Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and saw what happened, or who may have seen the group prior to or following the incident.
