We are in for another cold day and it's looking like it will stay this way all weekend.

Here is a round-up of what you need to know:  

Weather:

It is another cold morning but any fog patches with soon clear.

It's looking like another cloudy day is due with outbreaks of rain arriving through the late afternoon and evening.

Temperatures only slowly rising through the day but will stay around 7C.

Traffic:

Resurfacing works have started on the M25, on junctions 22 London Conley to 23 South Mimms, Hertfordshire.

The clockwise carriageway ont he M25 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 3 January for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1081, A414, A1001, A1(M) and M25 junction 23.

Work on a bridge joint replacements, on the structure that carries M1 over the Thameslink railway line will start this week 

The southbound carriageway (including the London Gateway entry slip road) will be closed overnight, between 10pm-5.30am, from Thursday 5 December for 4 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm.

There is slow traffic on the A1 Watford way southbound in Edgware and a traffic light failure causing delays at A1000 in Barnet.

There is also traffic on the A406 North Circular Road westbound in Palmers Green. 

St Albans is facing delays with traffic on the A414 Hertfordshire North Orbital Road in both directions and there is slow traffic on the A405 Hertfordshire southbound between M25 Bricket Wood and M1 Junction 6 Watford.

Travel:

There is no service between Baker Street and Aldgate on the Metropolitan Line.

There are minor delays on the Hammersmith and City and Circle line.

There is no TfL Rail service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May 2017.
