A pet rabbit found dead in its hutch is believed to be the latest victim of the so-called “M25 Cat Killer”.
The mutilated body of the animal was found still locked in its back garden enclosure in the Oxhey Park area on October 6.
According to the South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) group, the beloved pet bore wounds that match previous victims of the depraved animal attacker.
A vet confirmed that the injuries could not have been caused by another animal.
The owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she was “shocked and traumatised” when she found her pet killed, adding that her three young children had been left “scared and upset” by the incident.
To make matters worse, two guinea pigs which were kept in a separate enclosure in the garden were discovered to be missing and have still not been found.
Police are believed to be investigating the incident.
