Watford striker Fernando Forestieri missed the 0-0 draw at Yeovil Town with a hamstring injury but Sean Murray is fine and was just being rested for the game at Huish Park.

On Monday night, Forestieri suggested on Twitter he would not be available for the Championship match and after the final whistle, Beppe Sannino confirmed the Argentine had a hamstring problem.

"We will assess Fernando in the week," said Sannino.

"He has a problem with his hamstring. We are still assessing him and we will say something later in the week after that assessment."

Murray was another name missing from the starting line-up.

The Hornets academy graduate has been left on the bench for Watford's last two midweek matches but Sannino insists it is not a technical issue.

"The decision was aimed at giving him a little rest," Sannino said.

"We always play with [Cristian] Battocchio and Murray in midfield and I wanted to try something different.

"It was not a technical decision. I wanted to give him a rest because we have another game on Saturday."
