Watford Ladies Development team booked their place in the next round of the County Cup with a 4-2 win over Hemel Hempstead.

Watford Ladies Reserves however lost by the same scoreline to Oxford United Women Reserves in the FA WSL Development League Cup.

The Under-10 Diamonds were the only Garston Ladies team to see action on Saturday and returned from Hitchin with a 3-0 win in their first ever competitive fixture.

The game was played on Hitchin’s 3G pitch which seemed to suit the Diamonds as they took an early lead thanks to Simone Hingston’s fine finish.

Hingston then doubled the lead and Garston went into the half-time break 2-0 up.

The second period continued in the same manner with the Diamonds on top and the win was sealed five minutes after the restart when Darcey Bash blasted home after a neat one-two with Lily-May Webster.

The player of the match award went to goalkeeper Alice Elman for a flawless performance.

Garston Ladies (96) FC travelled to Welwyn Garden City on Sunday but Dani Freeman’s goal was the only bright spot in a 2-1 defeat.
