Hertfordshire dressage rider Daisy Coakley had a superb first regional outing of the 2014 season and secured victory at the Winter Regional Championships, held at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre.
Riding Cleopatra II, owned by Judy Firmston-Williams, Coakley took the win in the GFS Elementary Open Music Freestyle class with an impressive 80.32 per cent - she finished eight per cent ahead of the second placed rider.
Coakley, from Sarratt, then went on to finish second in the close-fought Equitop Myoplast Elementary Open class, with less than a percent separating first and second spots.
Coakley, who is a member of the British Equestrian Federation Sport England funded Excel Talent Programme, said: "We’ve been to a couple of other shows already but it was our first regional competition of the season, and I’m just really chuffed with Cleopatra and how she got on."
