There was final round drama in Little Hay Golf Club’s Winter League as Chris Venner and Kirk House secured the title.
Jim Wallace and Chris Miles led the field by three points as the competition entered the final round but it proved not to be enough.
Venner and House finished six strokes in front and ended on 262 points. Wallace and Miles settled on second and ended on 256 points.
They were tied with Alan Freeman and Jim Morris and Dave Smith and Paul Williams.
Meanwhile, the senior men’s March Medal was played and Tony Hodson sealed top spot out of 38 players.
He ended on 65 points while John Ridgewell was second with 66. Chris Jarman and Ron Goodfellow tied for third with 67.
