Watford entertained Crystal Palace in the second leg of a Championship play-off semi-final with a 3-0 cushion from the first leg.

With both ends of the ground full of home supporters, the atmosphere verged on the hysterical.

A furtiously defiant performance by the Hornets saw them secure passage to Cardiff as the Eagles failed to register a shot on target in a 0-0 draw.

Watched the first leg at a quiet pub in Southampton the table guest of 2 Watford supporter uni students.

Next table were 3 Palar5e supporters.

When Marlon scored at the next table the faces were looking worried and when Ash scored the free kick it was markedly worse. When Springy did his dance through the defence and rifled into the far corner for the 3rd our rivals up and left telling me to **** off you **** (you can guess) as they left.

Happy memories tarnished by our last visit to Wembley but that day in 2006 was beautiful.
