Arsenal loanee Park Chu-Young, whose loan with Watford doesn’t expire until June 30, started for South Korea in their 1-1 draw with Russia in World Cup Group H yesterday.
The striker played 55 minutes for his country before being replaced by Lee Keun-ho, who went on to score Korea’s equaliser.
Park joined the Hornets on January 31 and made only two appearances for the club, the last of which came on February 22.
A foot injury saw Park return to Korea in April but, despite his lack of first-team football, he was selected for South Korea's 23-man squad.
