A Sunday morning kick-off against Dawlish saw recent signing Paul Furlong score his first goals for the Hornets.

The big striker gave notice of what was to come with four goals, only the woodwork and the home goalkeeper preventing him from extending this tally.

Andy Hessenthaler, Barry Ashby and a Gary Porter penalty provided the other goals in a 7-0 victory for Steve Perryman's on-tour side.

I was there!! got to meet Mr Blissett, MR Perryman and a few others after the game too. All arranged by Ken Furphy who at the time ran a sports shop in Dawlish. Top bloke.
