Watford have signed midfielder Keith Andrews from Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

We reported yesterday that the Hornets were in discussions with the 33-year-old, who can play in the holding role or further forward in midfield, and the move has now been completed.

Andrews was told by Bolton that he was not in their plans for the forthcoming campaign, but as part of the loan deal he can’t play against his parent club.

Andrews has played for 11 clubs and has made 396 career appearances. He has featured in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers (70 times), West Bromwich Albion (14) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (1), where he started his career.

He spent last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he made 37 appearances.
