Kings Langley stepped up their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 defeat against Watford’s Under-18s.

A brace from the Hornets’ first-year professional Alex Jakubiak was enough to sink the Spartan South Midlands side at Gaywoods Park.

Paul Hughes and Ritchie Hanlon’s side continued their build-up to the new season with a trip to Harpenden Town yesterday (Thursday).

Leverstock Green were 2-0 winners at home to Kent Athletic on Saturday and hosted Hendon yesterday.

There was also a win for Tring Athletic, who beat Aylesbury United 1-0 at home.

A trip to Risborough Rangers is scheduled for tomorrow.
