Italian club Cagliari have reportedly offered a contract to former Hornets captain Manuel Almunia.
The Spanish goalkeeper spent two seasons at Vicarage Road but was released at the end of the previous campaign when his contract expired.
The 37-year-old hasn't been linked with any clubs since leaving Watford but could make the switch to Italy.
New Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is reported as saying the club will sign a goalkeeper with Champions League experience tomorrow.
Almunia played in the competition, and the final, during his spell at Arsenal.
