Watford youngster Ogo Obi looks set to join Manchester United after his recent trial but the Hornets are likely to only receive approximately £130,000 for the talented striker.

The Golden Boys offered Obi a scholarship with a one-year professional contract attached but the 16-year-old decided he wanted to go on trial with the Red Devils instead.

Obi helped United lift the Milk Cup, with three goals in four games, and we understand he is now likely to join the Premier League club.

In the past, a tribunal system decided how much clubs were entitled to when their young players leave for other teams but now the hugely-controversial Elite Player Performance Plan. created by the Premier League, means sums have reduced dramatically, with the Hornets expected to only receive around £130,000 for Obi.
