I graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2009 with a 2.1 in History and Politics and will be going to the University of Warwick to do a Masters in International Relations in October this year. I have a great interest in international affairs, moreso in domestic affairs now! So I think these are the areas that I would love to write about. My ambition is to become a political journalist, or work in political research. I travelled to Thailand in Summer 2009 where a group of us were involved in building an orphanage and a school, which was a great experience and I will be going to Cuba next year for more travelling. ...Chandni's Blog |
I am an aspiring Journalist and Screenwriter. I am currently following my passions through studying for my National Certificate in Journalism. I am also currently floating several television scripts among literary agents and production companies in an attempt to gain useful representation and for the commissioning of my work. I also adore Soapbox Journalism, so this blog will allow me to write about the things that really bug or interest me about this world. My vivid imagination and blunt, northern humour should make for an enjoyably witty read. If you are easily offended, you might want to turn away now. ...Darren's Blog |

My name is Claire Maxwell and I am an aspiring Journalist. Currently doing my A Levels via distance learning and finding myself yearning for a shot at my true passion; writing! I am opinionated and outspoken and anyone following me in the 'Land of Twitter' will certainly concur. Ultimately I would like to go into TV Journalism and perhaps have a go at writing a novel. I have much to say about many things and I'm sure you'll catch onto my waves very shortly. The very-easily-offended will perhaps not enjoy my writing, but open your mind and, just maybe, you'll manage a slight chuckle... ...Claire's Blog |

I love words- writing reading and performing them to whoever will listen! I get my inspiration from people and situations and write best of all when I am on a long train journey. I will bring to you in the coming weeks all of the aforementioned plus the highs and lows of my train journey from Kings Langley to Gunnersbury. Four trains each way and 90 minutes door to door, if I am lucky. I enjoy the Cuban beat, jazz funk, exploring London, antique auctions, keeping fit, dancing and ice skating in the open. I work for a commercial helpline. ...Julie's Blog |
Mike Parkin has been a season ticket holding Watford fan for over 20 years. His introduction to Vicarage Road (a 4-4 draw with Walsall in the FA Cup in 1987) was to provide some indication as to the emotional rollercoaster that supporting Watford was to provide, a rollercoaster that he is still enjoying today. Mike, a self confessed sport addict (He is also a member at Middlesex CCC and a regular attendee at London Wasps) and proud Father of one, will be sharing his thoughts on what it is like to be a Watford supporter during one of the clubs most challenging and interesting periods, whilst occasionally also talking about his thoughts on the wider sporting world.” ...Mike's Blog |
I am shy and retiring. You will never hear me talking about my amazing children and I never have a point of view about anything. I read the Times every day and the FT at least once a week. I do find it hard being perfect and occasionally let it slip that I have made a mistake, but this is only to make people around me not feel inferior. Heavily into keeping fit. I do a 5 minute walk at least once a week. I train for the marathon by walking around the shops. ...Deena's Blog |
I'm Cat, I'm 19 and am doing a degree in Fashion Design at the University of Leeds. I aspire to become a fashion journalist. When I'm not at uni, I love spending time in Watford. My favourite things about my home town are the people, the Harlequin and the nightlife. In my blog I will be focusing on fashion. I will be looking at the catwalk and celebrities and searching Watford for affordable but just as stylish alternatives. Enjoy! P.S If you have any fashion dilemmas, drop me a comment as I would love to help out. ...Catherine's Blog |
I am 49 and work as a massage therapist though I earn a little extra with a part time secretarial job. I have three children and one grandchild, which are fun and interesting at times to say the least. I have recently joined a choir at the Palace Theatre, and I go to the gym regular (but the Jacuzzi is my favourite piece of equipment). I love to cycle in Cassiobury Park and along the canal tow path. I love a nice glass of wine, nice meals out and London. My blog will cover all sorts of things going on in my life and my opinions about things going on in the wider world. ...Judy's Blog |
I am Watford born and bred and I have a passion for our town and local issues. My blog, however, will be about my efforts trying to carve out a music career while living with M.E and the day to day unpredictability of the illness. ME is an illness that takes everything away, but still leaves me with a need to give something back which I do by donating money from downloads of my tracks to the charity AFME. As a qualified dreamologist I also give my time helping people to understand the meaning of their dreams, especially if they are having a negative impact on their waking day. I also help out at an elderly day care centre when I'm at a level to function. Not very exciting to some, I know, but in these M.E days, a rare visit to a cafe and being able to dunk a shortbread biscuit in my cappuccino is about as exciting as it gets. ...Stacy's Blog |

After 25 years of looking after the rich and occasionally famous in luxury hotels in London, Scotland & Wales Michael has looked after the rich and famous at The Three Crowns in Bushey Heath since 2003. As well as serving the community at large Michael has served time as a Watford FC season ticket holder and makes up in enthusiasm what he lacks in skill in his own Tuesday night games “I like to treat customers the way I`d like to be treated and my blog will simply be about the daily life in a community pub and my efforts to convince those that I pay money to that I am a customer too.” Fans of call centres, company policies and the word no may wish to log off now. ...Michael's Blog |
