2004 Business Awards

THE great and good of the business world gathered at the Watford Hilton on Friday, June 11, for the Watford and North West London Business Awards.

The event was hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine, who announced the winners of the six categories and three special awards.

The winners were Shesto Ltd (International Trade and Export Award); Camelot (Contribution to the Community Award); Thunderhead Ltd (Innovation Award); Burston Rose and Garden Centre (Success Through People Award); and Stephen Bowller of Bowller Group (Entrepreneur Award).

Loans.co.uk took home a special award for Business of the Year, as well as coming first in the Growing Business category. Business Person of the Year was Glen Manchester of Thunderhead Ltd, while Stylographics was Small Business of the Year.

The event was sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, Alliots, Watford Council, Harris Lipman, BDO Stoy Hayward, Matthew Arnold and Baldwin, and Coutts.
