Motorists have been urged to avoid “total murder” traffic due to roadworks.
The Courtlands Drive roundabout with Ashfields and Silverdell, in North Watford, has seen heavy congestion as roadworks required multi-way signals.
Works by Hertfordshire County Council and Cadent caused long delays over the weekend and according to One Network the Cadent signals could be in place until February 19.
From 9am today (February 13) nearby Goodwood Avenue has been closed for a deep clean, with a diversion route sending motorists further down Courtlands Drive, as well as onto Rosecroft Drive, Greenbank Road, and Minerva Drive.
It is set to remain closed until 4pm.

Many locals reported long delays over the weekend on social media, with one person apparently spending 15 minutes just trying to get through the lights.
Others described experiencing “total murder” traffic and voiced worry of even more “carnage” this week, with many sharing a warning to avoid Courtlands Drive.
“Thank God its half term next week,” said one driver.
