Classic craft at air display

5:10pm Tuesday 3rd April 2001

BIGGIN Hill Airport has released details of the planes appearing at this year's Air Show.

The popular event, which takes place on June 2 and 3, will feature a mixture of classic aeroplanes and modern fighter jets.

The Red Arrows will lead an impressive collection of RAF fliers, including the Spitfire and Lancaster, taking part in the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

The SU27 Russian fighter, British Tornado and American B17 Bombers will then take centre stage.

There will also be aerobatics from the helicopters of the Army Air Corps' Blue Eagles team.

On the ground there will be static aircraft displays, a exhibition area, funfair, and amusements.
