16 teams braved the elements to take part in the Rickmansworth Pancake Race

The Coach and Horses once again sponsored this popular annual event and 16 teams braved the elements on Shrove Tuesday 16 February 2010. The winners, for the second year running were 6th formers from Rickmansworth School who each received a voucher for a meal for 2 at the Coach and Horses. The runners up were Waitrose Rickmansworth closely followed by teams from the Coach and Horses and Druids. Our thanks also go to the other businesses who took part including John Lewis Watford, Gibbs Gillespie, The Pennsylvanian, Bradley and Jones, VocaLink, David Gauke, LoCo2 Energy, Freedom Communications, Archer Rusby and Day Smith and Hunter. Our thanks also go to the Chairman of Three Rivers District Council, Richard Laval for officiating. All the money raised, in the region of £1,000, will go to support 500 adults and children with learning disabilities and their in South West Herts. Photography by Fran White.
