Last year's Watford 10k fun run sponsorship prize winners visit Watford Mencap's Children's Centre

Last year Ria, Arun and Ellie raised just over £170 in sponsorship money for taking part in the Watford 10K fun runs and on Thursday 3 March visited Watford Mencap's Children's Centre in North Watford to collect their prizes - vouchers donated by The Harlequin. Money raised from the Watford 10K helps to fund the Children's Centre which has been described as a 'lifeline' by many families. 150 children use the facilities and are able to play in safe but stimulating surroundings whilst their parents and carers get valuable respite. Ria, Arun and Ellie enjoyed the race and raising funds and all agreed it was good fun and hope to take part again this year. They also enjoyed visiting the Children's Centre to see first hand who benefits. Ellie kindly made a donation of her prize to the Children's Centre which was gratefully received by Ro Linton, the manager.
