High Sheriff of Hertfordshire visits local homelessness charity

Lord Charles & Lady Virginia on a tour of WNHT's Market Garden
On Monday 5th September, Watford New Hope Trust was visited by the High Sheriff, Lord Charles Cecil, and his wife Virginia. Mike Smith, CEO of WNHT, gave Lord Charles and Lady Virginia a tour of the Trust’s services and introduced them to clients and staff at the the various hostels and support services.
They were taken to the Trusts purpose built day centre, where lunch was being served, and were entertained with an impromptu performance by a client, who played a song which he had written. They were then shown the Market Garden, which covers just over an acre of land, followed by a tour of one of the Trusts residential hostels, the Community Home.
