RSPB Watford Local Group meetings in May

Jill Carey will be the speaker at our next indoor meeting of the RSPB Watford Local Group on Wednesday 9 May. The meeting will be held at the Stanborough Centre, Stanborough Park Church, 609 St Albans Road Watford WD25 9JL starting at 8pm, doors open at 7.30pm. Entry costs £3, including light refreshments. All are welcome. Jill, a very entertaining speaker, will give us a talk on “The Shaky Islands” the Maori name for New Zealand. Jill will show us the plant and bird life of these beautiful islands, many of which are quite unique.

Jenny has arranged a coach trip to Minsmere on Sunday 13 May and a shared transport trip to Thursley Common in Surrey on Saturday 26 May. Please call her on 01923 854509 for more information if you are interested.

Our next local John Hurrell walk will be on Wednesday 16 May on Croxley Common Moor, meeting at the canal bridge at the end of the lane off Frankland Road opposite Croxley Underground Station 10.00am.
