RSPB Watford Local Group June Meetings

The last indoor meeting of the season will be held on Wednesday 13 June at the Stanborough Centre, Stanborough Park Church, 609 St Albans Road Watford WD25 9JL starting at 8pm, doors open at 7.30pm. Entry costs £3, including light refreshments. All are welcome. After our short AGM Charlie Kitchen will give an illustrated talk on the Nene Washes Reserve in Cambridgeshire, its Wildlife and Management.. Charlie’s talk will include an update on the programme to re-introduce the corncrake, a once widespread countryside bird, now driven to the outer limits of the British Isles by modern farming practices.

Our next local John Hurrell walk will be on Thursday 21 June at Ver Valley, meeting at the Verulamium Museum car park at 10.00am.

There will be a shared transport trip to the RSPB reserve at Fen Drayton Lakes on Sunday 24 June.
