Customers from Watford and beyond were treated with free cake and punch in the Guideposts Gift Shop on 1 Market Street all day during the shop’s 8th birthday.
The Shop, which specializes in baby wear, quirky gifts for special occasions and fancy greeting cards from famous brands (Jellycat, No Added Sugar, Snuglo, Rex), over the years has become an indispensable part of the local trading scene on Watford’s Market Street. Recently the shop has had a makeover and all stock now is on sale for £10 and under.
On the birthday, customers were invited to take advantage of the voucher promotions, discounts and raffle games that were be available. In the afternoon, Watford Borough Council Chairman Keith Crout joined Guideposts celebrations by helping cut the cake and mark 8 years of Guideposts successful work.
Any money spent in the shop go to a good cause. On site Guideposts runs a NVQ training scheme for people with mental health problems, allowing many people in disadvantage to receive nationally recognized qualifications and work experience in a real commercial setting.
Martin Oliver, Guideposts Regional Manager, said: “It is a great opportunity for anyone from Watford and the area to join us for the birthday celebrations and contribute to a great cause.”
