Forties family weekend 4 happening at the lincolsnfields childrens charity site at Bushey hall on Saturday 24th / sunday 25th April 2010 from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Where along with the Mayor of hertsmere and the high sherriff of hertfordshire the history of the 1940s will be brought to life by recreators of the miltary and civilians of the time. The site of the Us. 8th airforce figher command headquarters and now a childrens charity will be open to the public to enjoy the original 40s and 50s buildings holding the 1940s house,the military museum, blitz street, stalls, exhibitions of various historical groups as well as historical machinary and living history displays including battles, childrens fun fair and many other attractions. All money raised goes to Lincolnsfields childrens charity and its education project. £7 adults, £3.50 children, and concessions and £2 period dress.
