1:14pm Friday 2nd January 2009 in Peace Hospice
Companies across South West Hertfordshire are being targeted by the Peace Hospice to take part in Dress Down Day.
Companies are encouraged to shed the usual dress code and wear something totally different for the event which takes place on Friday, January 30. Last year, local companies M&S, Arriva, Watford FC, SA Law and KPMG joined in the local fundraiser.
Corporate Development Manager at the Hospice Maggie Grand said: "This is our sixth Dress Down Day sponsored by SA Law and Kall Kwik and is an excellent opportunity for businesses to show their support for the Peace Hospice by taking part.
"We are encouraging businesses to swap their suits for jeans, to dress up or dress down, or even run with a theme such as bad taste, favourite football team, by wearing a hat or wig for the day or by wearing one of our special Dress Down Day T-shirts.
"We are keen to bring a bit of fun to businesses during a month that can often be quite gloomy and cold." The Peace Hospice cares for people living with a life limiting or terminal illness and supports their families from across South West Hertfordshire.
It provides inpatient care, day care, an outpatient service, a hospice at home service as well as bereavement support.
