Dom Joly has insisted he isn't trying to replace Harry Hill's TV Burp with his new sketch show.
The comedian's new programme Fool Britannia is to take the 7pm Saturday night slot on ITV, where Harry's award-winning TV commentary show has run since 2002.
Dom said: "I'm not taking over from TV Burp. I dislike so many TV programmes but I genuinely just love TV Burp, I think it's genius and he's stopping and I don't quite know why, but I have got his slot which is fantastic really."
He added: "It's pressure, 7pm, Saturday night before The X Factor. It's sink or swim really."
The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star said the sketch show would be similar to his Channel 4 hit Trigger Happy TV.
"It's going to have a Trigger Happy vibe to it, but it's going to be more character-based and I'm just going to have to fight against them putting a canned laughter track on it which I think they'll do anyway," he added.
