What if he goes back on his word about me retaining the house?

I have just separated from my husband and so far we have managed to deal with matters amicably. Neither of us are in any rush to get divorced. We have agreed financial matters and I am keen to deal with this officially, so we both know where we stand. If we are not actually divorcing is there anything I can do at this stage to protect my position?

Is there such thing as a 'quickie divorce' based on irreconcilable differences?

I’ve been married for five years and we have drifted apart over the last year. We both want different things from life and have agreed it would be best to split up. We don’t want things to become nasty, and I have heard that we can obtain a quick divorce based on irreconcilable differences. Is this correct and how long would it take?

Do I need to involve the Court with the arrangements we have made for our children?

I have separated from my partner and we have two daughters aged five and seven. We’ve agreed between us when the girls will see their father and the arrangements have been working well for the last six months. My friends all think I am mad as I have never been to see a solicitor or had anything official drawn up. They say I need a court order in case things go wrong. Is this right?

Can I evict my cheating husband?

I have just discovered after 20 years of marriage that my husband is having an affair. I have asked him to leave and he has refused. As far as I am concerned, it was his choice to have the affair, so when he leaves for a golfing trip this weekend, I am going to arrange for the locks to be changed. Surely I am entitled to do this and cannot be expected to live with him whilst his affair is continuing?
