A safer town

The Watford Community Safety Partnership works to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the town.
The partnership, made up of a range of agencies, works with residents, pubs, clubs and retailers to make Watford a safer town.

Recent work includes the ‘Three Strikes and You’re Out’ policy to deal with alcohol-related disorder in the town centre, and tackling problematic anti-social behaviour in residential areas by a combination of working with the community and using legislation, such as Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, where necessary.
The good work carried out by the partnership has resulted in the town being awarded TOGETHER Action Area Status by the Home Office.
