One Watford is committed to helping people feel able to contribute to their community, whether it is making sure people can participate in consultation on issues that are important to them, or offering opportunities to help others in Watford by supporting our thriving voluntary sector.

As a partner in Hertfordshire’s Local Area Agreement with central government, One Watford has a role to increase the number of people volunteering in the town, and to encourage people to influence decisions affecting their local area, ensuring they can have their say.

Work is beginning on a high-profile campaign to encourage greater participation in volunteering in the local community, promoting volunteering and supporting those who already carry out this valuable work, and raising awareness of Watford as a successful volunteering town.
