WATFORD have taken a Romanian Under-21 international striker on trial this week.
Cristian Cigan flew into Heathrow last night from Budapest and was due at the Hornets' London Colney training ground this morning.
The striker, who turns 20 on Sunday, has had spells with Dinamo Bucharest, Hungarian outfit FC Soppron and Atalanta Bergamo.
The move provides further confirmation that Aidy Boothroyd is desperate to increase his options in attack.
The manager has Marlon King, Darius Henderson, Will Hoskins and Steve Kabba at his disposal but he feels he needs more firepower to mount a promotion bid.
Boothroyd is also monitoring developments at Craven Cottage and is ready to swoop should the Cottagers decide to sell the out of favour Heidar Helguson
