Sarries suffer Jack blow
Chris Jack, Saracens' towering New Zealand lock, will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair damaged tendons in his hand.
The 67 times-capped former All Black was forced out of Sarries' 30-3 EDF Energy Cup semi final defeat to Ospreys after suffering a heavy fall just minutes into the second half and will play no further part in his side's Guinness Premiership and Heineken Cup campaigns.
Saracens Director of Rugby Alan Gaffney said: "It's a blow for the club and more importantly for Chris who has quickly settled in England and has been producing some very good performances for us, but it's something that we have to deal with.
"Chris has made a great impact since he arrived at the club and I know that he will still play an active role in supporting the guys. Even though he won't be able to get out on the pitch, with his knowledge and experience he still has a very important role to play for us."
