FIREFIGHTERS have been battling a blaze at a disused office block in High Street, Wealdstone for the past hour-and-a-half.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters rushed to the scene after the 999 call at just before midday.
A member of staff who works at the nearby Esso garage, said: "We heard the sirens and saw black smoke in the sky. We immediately closed the garage for safety reasons and waited for the fire brigade to tell us when it was safe to reopen."

Fire crews from Harrow, Stanmore and Northolt fire stations took until 1.30pm to bring the flames under control.

The fire started in a third-floor electricity control room but the exact cause is unknown.
