Primark is recalling thousands of men’s flip-flops over fears that they contain a carcinogenic chemical.
The discount fashion chain said it was recalling three colours from its men’s Cedar Wood State range – khaki, black and blue – after it was confirmed they contained dangerous levels of chrysene, a chemical commonly used in dark-coloured dyes.
The shop says it has suspended all orders of the product while an investigation is carried out.
The footwear was stocked in store between January and June this year. A full refund is being offered to any customer who bought a pair.
